Each successful lookup uses that API's credit cost — currently 1 credit for GET /gold_price and 2 credits each for GET /silver_price and GET /platinum_price. The cost is always shown on each API's documentation page.
No. Nebula Metals has its own credit balance and its own plans. Metal price lookups only use Nebula Metals credits, and buying a Nebula Metals pack never changes your Nebula Invoice balance (or the other way round).
Your balance is set to the full credit amount of the pack you buy, and any credits left from your previous pack are replaced, not added. Credits don't expire over time, so buy a new pack when your current balance runs low.
Yes, you can move to a bigger pack at any time. If any credit for your current pack applies, it's shown in the upgrade summary before you pay.
